Eadweard MuybridgeEadweard Muybridge was an English photographer, he used photography to explain motion-picture projection. He used series of non-moving images He explain how a horse moved. Adapting the very latest technology, he proved his theory that there was a moment during a horse's run when all four legs lifted from the ground by getting a galloping horse to trigger the shutters of a bank of cameras. Muybridge invented the zoopraxiscope, a method of projecting animated versions of his photographs as short moving sequences. |
Animated GIFsA animated GIF is a type of graphic image which is made to play a sequence of stills repeatedly in succession. When making my GIFs i have been using an app on the iPads called Mo Pho which my teacher Mr Nichols exampled in our GCSE lesson. Using the Mo Pho app it allowed me and my group to create either a flipped image or a longer series of stills
I also use the website gifmelter which allows you to take the URL of an animated GIF and distort it in unusual ways. I have posted some examples of so melted GIFs I have made down below. |
Group GIFs
These are a few animated GIFs I've made whilst sampling the Mo Pho app with my Group.
Time Lapse
Time Lapse films are created in a similar way to stop motion animations but with a crucial difference. The gap between each image is usually much longer so that, when the images are stitched together, time looks as if it is moving unnaturally quickly.
My favourite Time Lapse
I personally like this Time Lapse as it's a Time Lapse which is still and natural and you can tell this as it does not change angle whilst you are watching it and it plays smoothly everything links, this time lapse does not seem to be edited it stays at a steady speed though out. |
My Time Lapse
When making my Time Lapse I used an iPad and the app Muybridgizer app. I set up the iPas and left it to record the Time Lapse over the period of the hour. I would say my is very simular to my favorite Time Lapse as I have not edited it and it is very focused. My Time Lapse could be classed as a documentary as it is recording the making for Charlotte and Brenwin's time lapse. |
